He graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1985. After specializing in Anesthesiology, he completed his subspecialisation in (Algology) Pain Management.

He graduated from Kadıköy Anadolu High School in 1979 and Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1985.

While undergoing Anesthesiology specialization training at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, he began Algology training at Pierre and Marie Curie University Pain Clinic in Paris between 1991 and 1992. During this time, he also participated in the Diplome Universitaire Pain education program.

In 1992, he became an Anesthesiologist. Subsequently, until 1996, he regularly continued as a fellow doctor at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine Pain Clinic. 

In 1992, he received four months of training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Hunan College of Traditional Medicine (Changsha, People's Republic of China) with a scholarship from the Turkish Ministry of Health and the UNDP Technical Cooperation for Developing Countries program. 

From 1996 to 1998, he worked at the Private Pain Center in Izmir. Starting in September 1998, he began working at the Faculty of Medicine of Manisa Celal Bayar University. He continued his academic career here as a specialist doctor, assistant professor, associate professor, and professor until November 2023. During this time, in 2004, he completed a Pain rotation at Ege University Faculty of Medicine.

In 2011, he became a subspecialist in Algology

Since November 2022, he has been working as an Algology specialist at Acıbadem Health Group in Ataşehir and Atakent Acıbadem Hospitals..
