Cluster headache (CH) is an extremely severe type of headache.

Typically, symptoms include redness, swelling in the eye, tearing, nasal congestion, runny nose, sweating, and swelling on one side of the face or head, along with intense pain.

This pain is usually unilateral and often occurs during the night or early morning hours. It is typically short-lived but recurs at frequent intervals.

The pain can persist for weeks or months, followed by a period of remission.

During periods between attacks, there may be no headache. It can then recur(for example, several times a year).
